DISCUSSION - CURRENT STATE OF THE COUNTY - COUNTY JUDGE Judge Mark J. Keough opened discussion that the majority ofthe county is without power. COMMISSIONER WALKER WALKED INTO THE COURTROOM AND IS PRESENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE COURT SESSION. 1. RESOLUTION AND ORDER APPROVED - EXTENDING LOCAL DISASTER DECLARATION: I COUNTY JUDGE Session of July 9,2024 Page2of3 Motion by Commissioner Noack, seconded by Commissioner Riley to approve a Resolution and Order extending al Local Disaster Declaration for Hurricane Beryl for 30 days, set to expire 11:59PM on August 8, 2024. Motion carried. DISCUSSION - OEM BRIEF - COUNTY JUDGE Jason Millsaps briefed the court the current OEM operations of the county and concerns from the aftermath oft the storm such as deaths and carbon monoxide related calls as well as calls related tol heat. Prior to landfall, Millsaps worked with the. Auditor and Budgeting Office to provide an Account Category Code: BERYL2024 to track hurricane related expenditures across all departments. 2. ENGAGE DEBRIS CONTRACTORS APPROVED - CROWDERGULE, LLC., HAGERTY CONSULTING, INC., RANDY ROAN CONSTRUCTION, INC.- Motion by Commissioner Noack, seconded by Commissioner Riley to approve OEM to engage with awarded debris contractors - CrowderGulf, LLC. for debris removal, Hagerty Consulting, Inc. for debris monitoring, and Randy Roan Construction, Inc. for grinding - to plan and pick-up vegetative debris with an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 OVERTIME PAY - WORK PROJECT CODE BERYL2024 - COUNTY JUDGE Motion by Commissioner Noack, seconded by Commissioner Walker to approve overtime pay related to authorized storm work code BERYL2024 Account Category Code/Project Code in excessive of 801 hours for the pay: period 762024-7192024 for exempt personnel. Existing policy covers non-exempt employees and no comp time will be earned in all over-time related to this disaster and properly coded work will receive pay. This includes all departments essential during the disaster.
