CITY OF SCHULENBURG SCHULENBURG, TX May, 6, 2021 The City Council of the City of Schulenburg met in regular session on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 607 Upton Avenue, Schulenburg, Texas. The elected officials present included Mayor Elaine Kocian, Aldermen Chip Bubela, Wendy Fietsam Ben Herzik, Clarence Ahlschlager, and Larry Veselka. City Staff present were City Administrator, Tami Walker, Chief of Police, Troy Brenek, Operations' Manager, Darryl Moeller, Visitors included Darrel Vyvjala of the Schulenburg Sticker, Pastor David Thompson, Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace, Dan Mueller, Alderman Elect, Greg Thomas, EDC President, Paddy Mayor Kocian called role and led the Pledge of Allegiance. However, they are going to provide numbers to the EDC throughout the next two years and if they don't satisfy the number of Alderman Veselka made a motion, seconded by Alderman Fietsam, to accept the EDC's Mrs. Walker led discussion on Ratifying the Resolution authorizing the submission of an application fort the 2021-2022 TxCDBG Community Development Fund Grant. Mrs. Walker stated that the grant requires a 10% match ($35,000) and the original resolution incorrectly contained a 5% match ($17,500). Other than that, everything remains the same. Alderman Fietsam made a motion, seconded by Alderman Thomas, to ratify the resolution.
