CITY OF SCHULENBURG SCHULENBURG, TX June 27, 2022 The City Council of the City of Schulenburg met in Workshop to discuss potential renovations on the Civic Center on Monday, June 27", 2022, at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 607 Upton. Avenue, Schulenburg, Texas. The elected officials present included Mayor, Elaine Kocian, Aldermen, Gregg Thomas, Wendy Fietsam, Howard Stoner, and Clarence Ahlschlager. City Staff present were City Administrator, Tami Walker, Operations Manager, Darryl Moeller, Visitors included Paddy Magliolo, President oft the EDC, Ona Marak with the EDC, and Darrell and City Secretary, Mason Florus. Vyvjala with the Schulenburg Sticker. Mayor Kocian called role. Mrs. Walker led discussion on the Civic Center updating Council that the exterior roof and walls are complete at the cost of $140,385. Mrs. Walker continued that this workshop is to discuss Council's desires for the interior renovations and get a consensus for the upcoming budget. Paddy Magliolo, President of the EDC, was present and informed Council that the EDC may contribute to the renovation as well and he was there to get a rough pricing estimate to report At6:17, Alderman Veselka entered Council Chambers and took his seat at the Alderman Dais. After discussion, it was generally agreed upon that the floors and walls would be redone, the doors replaced, the water heater relocated from the attic, and the bathrooms backstage capped Mrs. Walker informed Council that her and Darryl can begin getting estimates on these items. Alderman Veselka made a motion, seconded by Alderman Thomas, to adjourn the workshop at back to the EDC Board. off and the sinks and toilets removed. 6:53. The motion passed unanimously.
