CITY OF SCHULENBURG SCHULENBURG, TX March 6, 2023 The City Council of the City of Schulenburg met in regular session on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 6:30P.M. int the Council Chambers located at 607 Upton Avenue, Schulenburg, Texas. The elected officials present included Mayor, Elaine Kocian, Alderwoman, Wendy Fietsam, Aldermen, Larry Veselka, and Clarence Ahlschlager. City Staff present were City Administrator, Tami Walker, Police Chief, Troy Brenek, and City Secretary, Mason Florus. Visitors included, Darrell Vyvjala oft the Schulenburg Sticker, Armen Herzik, Irene Handley, and Mayor Kocian called role, Mason Florus said a prayer over the meeting and its members, led Under Presentations By Citizens, Irene Handley wanted toi thank Officer Krenek for assisting her Alderman Veselka made a motion, seconded by Alderwoman Fietsam, to accept the Consent A. Minutes from the Regular Scheduled Council Meeting held on February 21, 2023 Mrs. Walker led discussion on an Agreement to Conduct Joint Elections between SISD (Schulenburg Independent School District) and the City of Schulenburg. Mrs. Walker explained that the piece of property is located on Oakland Rd. in Colorado County. She added that this is a complex and unique situation. Mrs. Walker answered that if that's the consensus, Council needs to make a commitment and if Alderman Veselka stated that "If we started this, we need to finish this." Mrs. Walker informed Council that Patty Akers should be back in the office, and she emailed her today. Alderman Veselka explained that there is concrete starting to separate at the Underpass. Mrs. Alderman. Ahlschlager asked if City Wide Clean Up starts this Saturday. Mrs. Walker answered that that is correct. Alderman/ Ahlschlager then asked if City workers would be on site. Mrs. Alderman Veselka made a motion, seconded by AldermanAnlschlager, to adjourn the meeting City Hall.
