CITY OF SCHULENBURG SCHULENBURG, TX December 4, 2023 The City Council of the City of Schulenburg met in regular session on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. int the Council Chambers located at 607 Upton. Avenue, Schulenburg, Texas. The elected officials present included Mayor, Connie Koopmann, Aldermen, Greg Thomas, Frank Wick III, Larry Veselka, Scott Stoner, and Clarence Ahlschlager. City Staff present were City Administrator, Tami Walker, City Attorney, Josh Brockman-Weber, Operations Manager, Visitors included Darrell Vyvjala oft the Schulenburg Sticker, Steve Moffitt with Schneider Engineering, Members of the 2023 Schulenburg High School Volleyball and Football Teams, SISD Superintendent, Dr. Julie Motomura, SISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, Luke Hobbs, Schulenburg High School Principal, Callene Zapalac, SISD. Assistant Volleyball Mayor Koopmann called role. Mason Florus said a prayer over the meeting and its members. Attorney. (a) This chapter does not require a public power utility governing body to conduct an open meeting to deliberate, vote, or take final action on any competitive matter, as that term is defined by Section 552.133 (Exception: Confidentiality Power Utility Competitive Matters.) This section does not limit the right of a public power utility governing body to hold a closed session under any other exception provided for ini this chapter. Council voted in executive session on the item referenced above. (b) Government Code 551.071 Consultation with Attorney: i) advice regarding contemplated or pending litigation related to the Henderson Hill Ground Storage Tank Project; and li) legal advice regarding amendment to the City's contract withAEP; and ii) legal advice regarding the proposed architecture contract for the Civic Center.
