Vote on the Motion: Motion carried unanimously by a vote of3-0. b) Discussion, consideration, and possible action regarding the 2018 Transportation Public Works Project Manager James Herrera introduced the agenda item and presented the city staff report. He explained that Staffhave recently reviewed the Transportation CIP Plan and have closed out the projects that have been completed. Staff requests the Commission review the plan The plan is from 2018. Census estimates for 2016 listed the City ofLiberty Hill with fewer than Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). (D. Thomison, J. Herrera) and give their recommendations. 2,000 residents. It was accepted by then Mayor Rick Hall in May of2018. Regarding proposed updates, the city has identified several proposed updates. C) Hear updated report, discuss, consider, and possibly take action on downtown parking and alternative route for large trucks / signage for alternative route, as discussed at the Public Works Department Project Manager James Herrera introduced the item and presented the staff report. City Staff created al list of proposed Truck Route options and the Pros and Cons of The previously discussed proposal of routing some truck traffic down Carl Shipp Drive has been The route should be from 279 going West, through the Roundabout and then north on Main Street (formerly Loop 332), and then left on Hwy 29, then West on Hwy 291 to Ranch Road 1869 and then South to Main again. This will prevent large truck traffic from using the narrow section ofMain Street in front of the City Hall. This route should suffice until the County finishes Mr. Herrera discussed that this is a fluid situation. There will be a definite benefit to finishing Bailey Lane, which may possibly be finished as soon as the end ofthis year. There was no formal motion on this item. e) Hear update report, discuss, consider, and possibly take action related to options fora plan for Handicap/Accessible parking in the downtown area, as discussed at the December meeting. (J. Herrera) Public Works Department Project Manager James Herrera introduced the item and presented the staff report. The citizens who attended the last Public Works Commission meeting to speak about their ADA parking concerns have been consulted. They want to know what the City can do to help businesses regarding the ADA parking that has been lost on Main Street. They will also collect three quotes for ADA compliant ramps and asphalt. They will approach the LHEDC to The City cannot finance these improvements, but the LHEDC might be able to. James will help them advocate for these ramps with the LHEDC.
