THE CITY OF LOMETA CITY COUNCIL IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS INSIDE CITY HALL 100 E: SAN SABA LOMETA, TX76853  CALLED WORKSHOP MINUTES  Notice is hereby given that a CALLED WORKSHOP of the Lometa City Council was held on Monday, 5th, August 2019 at 6:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Lometa City Hall, 100 E. San Saba  St., Lometa, Texas, at which time the following subjects were discussed, to wit:  I. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Carlos Garcia, 6:15 p.m. II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: to the American Flag and Texas Flag III. INVOCATION: Chief Melissa Cantu led Council and Guests in prayer  IV. ROLL CALL:  Mayor, Carlos Garcia Councilmember, James Dickison Councilmember, Shad Hill Councilmember, Susan Hines Councilmember, Larry Koch Councilmember, Marsha Laughlin  PRESENT ABSENT PRESENT PRESENT PRESENT PRESENT  1. DISCUSSION REGARDING CEMETERY AND STREET MATTERS Discussed cemetery ordinance and policies documents, and these are the items which need to be corrected and 1. Typo: maker needs to be changed to marker (Ordinance: page 2, section 2, first paragraph) 2. Revision: Int the Ordinance on page 3, section 3, the last sentence discussing the filing of deeds doesn'tn match the same information noted in the policies and procedure document. 3. Revision: Both documents need to be updated with the changes to the sale ofindividual spaces VS. plots. It was suggested that we: no longer sell by plot size 15'x 20", but per space (8' x3')with additional sale price of$ $100 per space, ift buying more than one space. It was also suggested that the perpetual care cost will be 75% of the sale and the deed cost will be 25%. Council will need to finalize all cost changes and possibly take al look at the layout of Section E oftl the cemetery and 4. Discussed the reasoning behind the City'sp policy of not allowing internment in a grave that was previously used and why we do not buy back or re-claim unused spaces that were previous bought, 5. Spoke about streets that will most likely be the main focus of repair: West Lampasas, Senterfitt  approved in a regular council meeting:  redesign the map. but never used as intended.  section by Rockin K' Kafe and A Street to Locust Street.  NO ACTION TAKEN  II. ADJOURN: At 7:03 p.m. the workshop was adjourned with a motion made by Larry Koch and  asecond by Shad Hill. Motion passed.
