MEETING AGENDA MINUTES LOMETA CITY COUNCIL 100 ESAN SABA ST, LOMETA TX 76853 COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL  Meeting: REGULAR MEETING Date: JUNE 1, 2020 Time: 7 p.m.  . CALLTO ORDER: Mayor Carlos Garcia called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. II. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Carlos Garcia led council and guest in the Pledge of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flag and said the prayer. III. ROLL CALL: Mayor Carlos Garcia was present. Council members Susan Hines, Shad Hill, Larry Koch, James Dickison and Marsha Laughlin were all present. IV. REVIEW OF MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 6, 2020 REGULAR MEETING and THE. APRIL 13, 2020 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING. A MEETING WAS NOT HELP IN MAY 2020, THEREFORE THERE ARE NO MINUTES TO PASS. A motion was made by Susan Hines with a second by Marsha Laughlin to accept the regular meeting minutes for both meetings in April 2020. V. REGULAR REVIEW, RATIFY AND PAY BILLS FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2020 and MAY 2020. A motion was made by Shad Hill with a second by James Dickison to accept the bills  Motion passed by unanimous vote.  for both months. Motion passed. Susan Hines abstained.  VI. OPEN FORUM: no one spoke.  NEW BUSINESS:  1. Discuss and consider taking any necessary action related to the  mending/enlorcement of Ordinance 01092012, 11032014 and 08042016. Mayor did call for a workshop at 6:00pm before the July 2020 meeting. (Meeting time was later 2. Discuss and take action byi interviewing and/or hiring an applicant for the open position in the maintenance department. A motion was made by Shad Hill with a second by Marsha Laughlin to promote Daniel Velez to Maintenance Lead and to hire Sammy Brister at $10.00 hourly starting as soon as possible. Motion passed by unanimous vote. (Council entered into executive session at 7:28pm and came out of  changed by Council to 6:30 pm) No action taken.  executive session at 8:43pm)  ADJOURN: At 8:45pm a motion was made by James Dickison with a second by Shad Hill to  adjourn the meeting.
