Hannah Garcia, Chair, called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. 1.1 ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION A. HSAC20-008 Consider approval oft the minutes of May 8, 2020. Chair Hannah Garcia moved for approval of the minutes from the meeting on May 8, 2020. Patricia LaBeau motioned to approve the minutes. Amy Morgan seconded the motion. The motion carried. B. HSAC20-011 Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the 2021-2022 Human Dani Shaw provided a presentation providing aj process overview and timeline review for the Human Service and Community Development Advisory Committees. Shaw review the City of Denton 2020-2022 Consolidated Plan three year goals. Shaw Chair Hannah Garcia moved for approval of the 2021-2022 Community Development Grant application. Dale Tampke motioned to approve the application. Patricia LaBeau seconded the motion. The motion carried. C. HSAC20-012 Receive ai report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding General Funds, CDBG, Dani Shaw provided the committee with an overview ofl known and projected funding sources fort the current and upcoming grant years. Shaw briefed the committee on the City ofDenton'sh human services response to COVID-19. Courtney Cross shared impact data for thel Denton County COVID-191 Relief Fund (CRF) Eviction Prevention program. Members inquired about the City'sf funding oft temporary shelter of! people experiencing! homelessness at a local hotel, and plans for a new shelter Services Grant funding application and presentation process. reviewed the application for the upcoming grant year. CARES. Act CDBG-CV1, and CARES Act CDBG-CV3 funding sources. on Loop 288. Staffi inforined the committee that a presentation will be brought to City Council at al lafer date, afterwhich informâtion will be shared with thes committee regarding next stèps for federal funding made available through the CARES Act. D. HSAC20-013. Receive a report, hold à discussion, and give staff diréction regarding submitted Street Outreach Courtney Cross reviewed applications received for Street Outreach and Rapid Re-Housing grants. Following the development ofar new. mental health program within the Denton' Police Department, staff pulled the Street Outreach grant and will re-release A total. of four applications were reçeived for the. Rapid Re-Housing grant program. Courlney reviewed as staff-scoring ofall applications received, including an overview ofs scoring metrics for the appliçations. The committee reviewed the appliçations. Members considered funding two agençies each at fifty percent oft thes grant, or funding one, agency at 100 percent of the grant. and.
