Capriccioso-Halt: Associates) Ylda Capriccioso from Halff and Associates provided a letter with an 'overview' ofthe project in the agenda (see 'Exhibit A' to these meeting minutes) and gave aj presentation. Ms. Capriccioso was delayed with traffics SO Ms. Capriccioso reviewed basics background items such as the Plan Overview, the project timeline (May 2024 is scheduled time for final report and Recommendations, sO thisi is on-time), Masterplan Objectives, Sections oft the Plan descriptions, identification oft the Downtown Area', results ofs surveys and feedback from community engagement events, the Historic Assessment of Downtown = aj part oft the plan that was done inj partnership with Johnson Consulting, Overall The Elements of the Downtown Plan are separated into Approach, as well as Features. An example of Approach is to focus on mobility and walkability. An example of Features would be Ms. Capriccioso discussed the Character Areas for the Plan and provided an illustration of these areas on a color coded map. The Character Areas are: Downtown Core, Downtown Village, Downtown Flex and Downtown Residential. She defined the areas and explained their respective She then discussed Myrtle Lane Promenade as one oft the main proposals oft this plan. Since the City owns property on Myrtle, it eases the concerns about parkingavailability. There was a brief discussion of Wayfinding signage and downtown branding, Ms. Capriccioso noted that the city's Downtown Revitalization Committee is working on both oft these projects in coordination with the Communications Director.
