NOTICE  Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City Council ofLiberty Hill, Texas has been called by Mayor Crystal Mancilla, to consider the submission ofag grant application for Park Improvements.  City Council Special Called Meeting 5.28.2024 CDBG application meeting    3.) REGULAR AGENDA  a) Approve and authorize city staff to submit application for Williamson County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for City Park improvements. (P. Brandenburg, K. Amsler) Director of Communications and Community Engagement Katie Amsler introduced the item and provided the At the May 22, 2024, Regular Called City Council meeting, the City Council decided not to proceed with application for CDBG grant for Public Works projects, determining that the project was not ready. The Parks Department would appreciate the consideration oft their City Park Phase IP Project as the subject ofan Since the deadline for the CDBG grant is today, City Council was kind enough to meet today. The City Council has adopted the City Park Park Masterplan. The Masterplan for City Park have numerous projects. One of the projects that needs funding is what the Parks Board calls 'Phase I,' in includes the City Council members discussed that the timeline for the Phase I projects could work with the required Director Amsler explained how the matching funds required for this CDBG grant, ifiti is awarded, will come from another grant. Funds from the 'Parks In Lieu of account will fund the parking lot, as grants do not want toj pay for parking lots. The Parks Department is not asking for any money from the city budget at this time. Motion: Motion from Council Member Diane Williams, seconded by Council Member Amanda Young, to approve item and authorize the submission of the CDBG grant application, as described.
