PRESENT: Members Deb Armintor, Birdia Johnson, and Paul Meltzer  With no existing Chair/Vice Chair resulting from changes following the canvassing for the 2020 General Election, Ryan Adams, Director of Public Affairs/Customer Service, acting as Secretary and as provided under Robert's Rules of Order, called the meeting to order and presented Item 1.  COCE21-002.  1.I ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION Committee on Community Engagement. The item was presented, and discussion followed.  COCE21- 002 Receive nominations and elect a Chair and Vice-Chair for the City Council  Member Armintor nominated Member Johnson for election as Chair. Member Meltzer seconded  the motion. Motion carried. NAYS (0): None  AYES (3): Members Meltzer, Armintor, and Johnson  Members Meltzer nominated Member Armintor for election as Vice-Chair. Members Johnson  seconded the motion. City's upcoming new online engagement platform, Discuss Denton.  The item was presented, and discussion followed. No needed follow up by staff was requested.  COCE21-005 Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding citizen  engagement, communication, and transparency initiatives. The item was presented, and discussion followed.
