THECITYOF JRANDVIEW TEAS  REGULAR PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING MINUTES  JUNE27,2024  Thel Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Grandview met on Thursday,June  27,2024, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.  1. Roll Call and Call to Order By Commissioner Rosso at 5:31 P.M.  Board Members Present: Daphne Fletcher Clifton Hall Justin Jones Bill Bicker Christopher Rosso Darla Dudley Absent: Les Carney  Administration & Staff: Katherine Reading, City Manager Shannon Pruitt, City Secretary 2. Invocation was led by Commissioner Dudley.  3. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S.A. Flag and Texas Pledge was led by Commissioner  Rosso.  4. Public Comments: There were: no comments made. 5.PLANNING AND ZONING ACTIONITEMS:  A. Discuss and consider taking action to recommend adding a land use for cosmetic  tattooing. Presented by Katherine Reading, City Manager.  AI local business owner is looking to add cosmetic tattooing to their salon  business.  This is not listed in our Land Use Ordinance.  Regular Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes, June 27, 2024    Options:  1)Create a new land use for cosmetic tattooing with a separate definition and 2) Modify an existing definition ofs something to allow cosmetic tattooing and Recommendation from staff for Cosmetic Tattooing to be listed under Table 6, The property is Commercial C-1. The owner recently took over the salon. We Requestfrom Commission to bring back Tattoo' 's to the. Board as well as Title. 2 Isthere an Occupational Code for Tattooing? We can look into it. Definition will be presented to the council as an ordinance change. Commissioner Jones made a motion to add Cosmetic Tattooing to Table 6, Office,  then categorize the allowance oft the districts (Item 5B).  apply it to existing zoning districts.  Office, Retail, Commercial, and Service Type Uses. currently do not know ift they own the property.  Health.  Retail, Commercial, and Service Type Uses, as discussed. Commissioner Fletcher seconded the motion.  Motion carried - all ayes.  B. Discuss and consider taking action to recommend allowable zoning districts for the land use cosmetic tattooing. Presented by Katherine Reading, City Manager. Commissioner Jones made ai motion to recommend modifying the definition of Beauty Shop in our current ordinances to include Cosmetic Tattoos, as discussed.  Commissioner Bicker seconded the motion.  Motion carried - all ayes.  C. Consider approval of minutes for the regularly scheduled Planning and Zoning  meeting held on May 30, 2024.  Commissioner Dudley made ai motion to approve the minutes from the Regular Planning  and Zoning Meeting held on May 30, 2024, as presented. Commissioner Bicker seconded the motion. Commissioner Hall abstained due to absence.  Motion carried - all ayes.
