Discuss and consider approval: Ivan Garcia, P.E. on behalf of Adelante Holdings LTD is requesting to rezone a tract at 1116 S. Inspiration Blvd., from "MF-1" Multi-Family Low Density District to "R-2" Single Family- Standard Lot and adoption of Ordinance 2024-06, waiving second and Motion to approve was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Arturo Galvan Jr. and seconded by Commissioner Ricardo Garza. Motion carried 5-0. third reading. Alton City Commission Minutes-Regular Meeting V. NEW BUSINESS July9,2 2024 1. Discussion and consider approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Mission Consolidated Independent School District and the Mark Perez, Police Chiefstated that every year Alton PDj partners with MCISD to provide security for their schools. Currently, six officers are assigned to their schools that fall within the City of Alton. The MOU has already been approved by MCISD. Staff recommends approval. Motion to approve was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Arturo Galvan Jr. and seconded by Commissioner 2. Discussion and consider an amendment to the Stormwater Utility Baudelia Rojas, Deputy City Manager stated that about two years ago the City entered into an agreement with Halff to provide consulting services and for assistance in establishing stormwater utilities. The study has been completed and new: fees for commercial customers have been proposed. This amendment with Halffwill authorize them to work together with Sharyland Water Supply Corporation and implement thei new: fees. Staffrecommends approval. Motion to approve was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Arturo Galvan Jr. and seconded by 3. Discuss and consider the selection of engineering firms for public projects Baudelia Rojas, Deputy City Manager stated that staffrequested qualifications from engineering firms and twelve RFQ's were received. The qualifications were scored by five staff members and the recommendation is for the City to select the four highest rated firms. Staff recommends approval. Motion to approve was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Arturo Galvan Jr. and seconded by City of Alton for police services. Ricardo Garza. Motion carried 5-0. Consulting Agreement with Halff.
