MINUTES ELECTORAL BOARD MEETING 10JULY, 2024 Chair Coffey called the meeting to order at 9:34. AM,July 10, 2024 Members Present: Coffey, Wellard, Doyle Guest Present: GR McDonald Vice Chair Wellard moved approval of the minutes oft the June 11, 2024: meeting as presented. Motion seconded by Secretary Doyle, carried unanimously. GR McDonald presented her report, attached. Chair Coffey inquired about the status ofi insurance coverage indemnifying the EB for official actions related to duties in all elections in the County. GR McDonald was instructed by County Administrator Evan Vass to contact her Liaison with the State Division of Risk Management. GR McDonald was asked by County. Administrator Vass to clarify whether the request to develop anew County Office Building sent by the EB in April, 2024 represented the position of the entire Board orj just one member. The Policy was regarding Placement of Signs, Canopies and Structures on County-owned property, similar to aj policy passed by Warren County. The members oft the EB reiterated the request had been unanimously supported, and encouraged Administrator Vass to seek input from the County. Attorney to draft such aj policy expeditiously. Many Zoom meetings and webinars through the Virginia Department of Elections/ELECT were attended by the Registrar in preparation fori the Primary. GR processed over 100 timesheets (staff, early voting, election day and post-election). GR has had multiple meetings with County IT and our vendor to answer cybersecurity questions on behalf of the SCEB. All' cybersecurity deadlines for LESS (Local Election Security Standards) were met. The quarterly review meeting was held June 13th as we GR has processed candidate paperwork for the six town elections to be held on Registrar's Staff began receiving a five percent raise from the County beginning July 1st.
