TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR RESOLUTION NO8-07-19  WHEREAS, by virtue of the authority contained in Local Government Article 5- 101 et seq of the Annotated Code of Maryland and Section 205-37 of the Code of the Town of New Windsor, the Mayor and Council are authorized to establish a schedule of  fees for the public water and sewer systems within the Town; and  WHEREAS, additional grant funds received by the Town from the State for the new fiscal year allow the Town to reduce the existing base rate for water service by the amount of Eight Dollars ($8.00) per quarter, from One Hundred Thirty-seven Dollars  ($137.00) to One Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($129.00); and  WHEREAS, annually on July 1, the base rate increases Two Dollars ($2.00), resulting in a base rate for water service of One Hundred Thirty-one Dollars ($131.00)  per quarter, commencing July 1, 2019; and  WHEREAS, this new base rate necessitates a new rate structure to be adopted NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF  by the Town to reflect the reduction and to establish future rates;  THE TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR  ARTICLE 1. follows:  That water service connection rates (the "Base Rate") shall be as  A. (1) From July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, all service connections shall be assessed and charged a quarterly Base Unit Charge of One Hundred Thirty-  one Dollars ($131.00).  (2) From July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, all service connections  shall be assessed and charged a quarterly Base Unit Charge of One Hundred Thirty-  three Dollars ($133.00).  (3) From July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, all service connections  shall be assessed and charged a quarterly Base Unit Charge of One Hundred Thirty-  five Dollars ($135.00).  (4) From July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, all service connections  shall be assessed and charged a quarterly Base Unit Charge of One Hundred Thirty-  seven Dollars ($137.00).    B. After July 1, 2023, and annually, the Base Unit Charge shall automatically increase at a rate of Two Dollars ($2.00) per quarter, and the Water Usage Rate shall ARTICLE2. All other provisions of Resolution No. 05-21-18 as adopted May 21, 2018, and Resolution No. 09-05-18, establishing water usage rates, sewer base rates and ARTICLE 3.
