SEG Town of Rising Sun Special Meeting of June 30, 2015 Of Mayor & Commissioners Reconvened June 30, 2015 Let it be remembered that the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Rising Sun, reconvened a Special Town Meeting on the 3rd floor of the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015 at 6:00 PM, continuing the meeting from the previous evening, June 29th. For the record the meeting place and time were duly posted as required. MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Commissioners Allen Authenreath, Jennifer Scully and Dave Warnick. MEMBERS. ABSENT: Mayor Travis Marion and Commissioner George Walker. STAFF/CONSULTANTS PRESENT: Town. Administrator Calvin A. Bonenberger, Jr., and Town Clerk Marsha. J. IN THE MATTER OF CALLING THE MEETING TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:00F PMI by INT THE MATTER OF THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: To review and consider the adoption of the proposed Since tonight's meeting is a reconvening of last evening's meeting, Commissioner Walker reviewed some of the points of discussion. July 1, 2015 through. June 30, 2016, and authorizing collection of taxes herein levied, assessing service charges, and appropriating funds for the fiscal year: Commissioner Warnick introduced Resolution 2015-05 and read same into the record. Commissioner Warnick made a motion that Resolution 2015-05 be accepted. Commissioner As matter of exciting news, Commissioner Warnick was happy to report that thel Parks & Recreation Department has received a grant for $633,710f from the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund Cost-Effective Non- Spencer. Commissioner Scully and followed withi the Pledge of Allegiance. 2015/16annual budget. made overnight to the budget. Authenreath seconded the motion which carried 3-0. 1 9 Re June 30, 2015 Town Meeting Minutes Point Source Pollution Protection for at two-year project at' Veterans' Park. The grant will pay for stream bed restoration, storm water management and other upgrades. The overalli intention is to reduce nutrients going into Chesapeake Bay. Work willl begin in. July with occasional planned park closures. The annual Civil War Motion made by Commissioner Warnick, seconded by Commissioner Authenreath to adjourn at 6:58 PM. Reenactment should not be affected.
