XeroHome is available to single-family homeowners in Irvine through November For the second consecutive year, the City of Irvine earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign's Municipal Equality Index, which looks at how inclusive municipal laws, policies, and services are for LGBTQ+ people who live and work in communities nationwide. In addition, the City scored bonus points for: non- discrimination laws; municipal services, including services for LGBTQ+ youth and people living with HIV or AIDS; and inclusiveness of employment policies. Councilmember Carroll Councimember Carroll noted that he would need to temporarily step away from the City Council meeting due to a work-related commitment, but reiterated that Irvine was one of the most integrated and diverse cities, as well as the safest city in the United States, and assured everyone that their voices would be heard. Councilmember Carroll expressed appreciation to representatives of the Islamic Center of Irvine that he met with earlier in the day; and committed to reaching out to Rabbi Steinberg related to the invocation.
