Dew, Director ofPublic Works (VIDE029:54-5714) John Dew, Director of Public Works, stated that on August 26, 2020, five (5) bids were received with Quesenberry's Inc. of Big Stone Gap, Virginia submitting the lowest base bid of $7,659,000, with three (3) add alternates. Mr. Dew recommended that Council award the bid to Quesenberry's, Inc. for the base bid in the amount of $7,659,000. Discussion ensued. On motion of Mrs. Quetsch, seconded by Mrs. Pillion, accept and award the base bid from Quesenberry's, Inc. for The Meadows Sports Complex. Jan Hurt spoke on behalfo of Hurt Properties stating that the design project was in memory of Sam Hurt. Council Morani, Town Manager (IDE019037-1a325) thanked Mrs. Hurt for the gift.
