July 1, 2000  MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING Wednesday, March 13, 2019  CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL  Mayor Ly called the special City Council meeting of March 13, 2019 to order at  5:02 p.m.  Present: Mayor Ly, Vice Mayor Hume, and Council Member Suen.  Absent: Council Members Detrick and Nguyen (Council Member Nguyen arrived  at 5:15p p.m.).  CLOSED SESSION  There were no public requests to speak.  The City Clerk announced the following closed session items prior to the City A) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL = ANTICIPATED LITIGATION: Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (d) of  Council adjourning to closed session at 5:03 p.m.:  Government Code Section 54956.9:  Two (2) Matters  B) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL = ANTICIPATED LITIGATION: Initiation of litigation pursuant to paragraph (4) of subdivision (d) of  Government Code Section 54956.9:  One (1) Matter  C) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION: Pursuant to Paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Government Code  Section 54956.9: One (1) Matter:  1. City of Elk Grove V. Kiran Rawat, etal.  Sacramento Superior Court Case No. 34-2017-00216691  D) PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957:  Title: City Clerk  Elk Grove City Council Special Meeting. March 13,2019 Page1of2    Note: Council Member Nguyen arrived at 5:15p p.m.  The City Council reconvened at 6:32 p.m. with Council Member Detrick absent. Mayor Ly reported that by 4-0 vote (Ayes: Ly, Hume, Nguyen, and Suen; Absent: Detrick), the City Council authorized the City Attorney's Office to initiate litigation on one matter, the name of the defendant and case details were not subject to disclosure at this time, but once litigation was filed, the information would be  disclosed upon inquiry.
