November 3, 2022  Town of Windsor Board Members:  For the month of October, I went out on the road a few times in the past month. It was in the past week where most of the leaves fell off the trees. Ihave been trying to come up with a figure for the wind turbines. An ORPTS (Office of Real Property Tax Services) attorney just told me that I can assess the wind turbines out right, the formula that NYS came up with last year is ini the court now sO, don't use the formula. Iwas happy to hear Some information for you about the wind turbines, an avg wind turbine is 280 ft tall in NYS. The wind turbines in the Town of Windsor and Sanford are 650 ft tall. 2.3 times more in height. The normal cost of a wind turbine is $1,300,00 per MegaWatt. (MW) Each turbine in the town is 4.3MW. This calculation would be 5,590,000 but it's also double the height. I'm figuring over $12,000,000 Full Market Value per turbine.
