EINSODWETRIS IADEN FTICARDN County of Bladen State of North Carolina RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REVISED ELECTION DISTRICTS FOR BLADEN COUNTY USING 2020 PUBLICLAW WHEREAS, The 2020 Census population data has shown an uneven distribution of population in WHEREAS, The federal Voting Rights Act (42USC1973), requires that jurisdictions revise election WHEREAS, The County attempts to insure that the least deviation possible exist between the WHEREAS, The current election districts in Bladen County: show a deviation in excess of the 10%; WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners has studied the 2020 Census data and the deviations between population sizes in the existing districts and has determined that in Bladen County, there is a the County'scurrent election districts; districts to protect and promote the principle of' "one person, one vote;" smallest and the largest districts within the County, substantial inequality of population among the existing districts; compliance with the Federal Voting Rights Act; and WHEREAS, These conditions require that Bladen County redraw the district lines to be in WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners and its staff have redrawn the election districts as required to meet the requirements of the Voting Rights Acts; and has worked with the Bladen County Board of Education to include that Board in the newly drawn districts; and now, therefore, bei it RESOLVED by the Bladen County Board of Commissioners as follows: Section 1: A map of the revised districts is incorporated into this Resolution and is Section 2: Maps showing the boundaries of the three revised districts will be made available for public inspection at the office of the Clerk to the Board and on the Bladen County website www.Dadeninlo.org, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute Section 3: Not later than ten (10) days after the date on which the Resolution becomes effective, the Clerk to the Board shall file certified true copies of the Resolution with the identified as "Exhibit A" Article 3 Chapter $153 A-20.
