Mayor McCraw opened the public hearing for the Public Hearing for FY: 2023-2024 Proposed Budget at 6:20 pm. Being no one gave written or verbal requests wishing to speak. Mayor McCraw closed the public hearing at 6:20 pm **SEE DOCUMENT #2** APPOINTMENTTOTHE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE The King Economic Development Committee meets on the first Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. In 2023, the Committee temporarily: adjusted its schedule to meeti in March, June, September, and againi ifr requested by the City! Manager or City-Planner during the year. The 2024 schedule is currently following the same schedule. Motion Mayor Pro Tem Cole made a motion to approve Tyler Butts to the Economic Development Committee for ai four- year term ending in December 2026. Councilwoman Fowler seconded the motion, which was carried by a unanimous vote of4-0. CONSIDERATION OF BUDGET AMENDMENT 2023-03.07 This budget amendment contains the following: General Fund: Add $5,000 tol Public Buildings for unanticipated repairs and supplies; offset with Powell Bill interest earnings revenue. Add $50,000 to Fire for vehicle repairs, ice maker, and garage door opener; offset with $18,888 remaining Contingency! and $31,112 sales tax revenue. Add $25,000 to Parks for repairs to the concession stand and outdoor lighting and purchase/nstallation of bollards; offset with interest earnings revenue. MOTION Councilwoman Fowler moved to approve budget amendment 2023-03.07 as presented. Mayor Pro Tem Cole seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously, 4-0. **SEE DOCUMENT #3** CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AUDIT CONTRACT Per LGC regulations, formal Council approval is needed for the audit contract. Gibson & Company's three-year proposal included a 5% annual increase, which makes the base contract amount $32,7001 for FY 2023-2024. The addendum tot the contract includes additional feest for a single audit. Audit fees will be $32,700 with a not-to-exceed total of $47,200, which includes potential single audit work for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 to be paid in Fiscal Year 2024-2025. GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) significantly. increases the- amount-of work-needed. to- report. pensions-and. other- post-employment. benefits, leases, subscription agreements, and various other standards that willl be required in the coming fiscal years. This amount will be budgeted in Governing Body - Contracted Services, split evenly between General Fund and Enterprise Fund. MOTION Councilwoman Fowler moved to approve the audit contract with Gibson & Company as presented. Mayor Pro Tem Cole seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously, 4-0.
