Meeting Minutes Glen Alpine Board of Aldermen Regular Meeting November 16, 2020  Present: Mayor Benfield, T. Helms, T.Suttles, G. Meise, S. Perkins, R. Cox, Attorney R. Denton, Clerk  M. Lalonde  CALL TOORDER- Mayor Benfield INVOCATION- Moment of Silence PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE  APPROVAL OF AGENDA- Motion made by Suttles; passed by all. APPROVAL OF DEPT REPORTS-Motion made by Suttles; passed by all. APPROVAL OFI MINUTES-Motion made by Cox; passed by all.  Leslie Sigmon with Lowdermilk & Church presented the audit. Overall, the Town isi in good shape on  financials.  PUBLIC COMMENTS: Reid Scott...  Mr. Scott states that we do not need anymore police officers in Glen Alpine. He says that there are peoplei in the Town that can not afford higher taxes and that we have enough officers.  Frank Robinson...  Mr. Robinson started by thanking the Town for helping make progress with a disturbing neighbor in his neighborhood. He states that Glen Alpine is ag great Town, and we need to keepi it that way. Hei feels that we need additional police officers for our other officers to be able to take time off. He would like for our officer to have body cameras, to protect them. He would also like to recommend that the board have quarterly Town meetings for a Q& A: session, to the citizens to be able to ask thel board questions and have each department head to give as summary of howi their department is running and staying in line  with the budget.  OLD BUSINESS: Johnson Paving (Town Parking Lot) Christmas Parade NEW BUSINESS: 2021 Meeting Dates  Fonta Flora Trail Donation-The town has been asked to make a $1000 donation to the Fonta Flora Trail  Stabilize Gazebo- The new Gazebo next to the Post Office needs to be stabilized. Codes/Ordimances-board should everything they want to discuss to Clerk by Jan 11. McNeely Pest Control- Town would like to start using McNeely Pest Control One Way Traffic on Davis St-Clerk will send letter to residents on Davis St. New Police Car-The Board asked Chief Cox to get 3 quotes to discuss at the next meeting.
