Madison Street, Whiteville, NC, Advisement of Virtual Meeting. This meeting was made available in a virtual environment. This appointment is due to vacancy created by the death of Council Member Robert! Leder. Jimmy Clarida MOVED to approve appointing Council Member Vickie Paitt tot the role as Alternate Delegate tot the CFCOG. Justin Smith SECONDED the motion. Love Mill Road Economic Development Planner. 8) BUSINESS Alternate Delegate Yeas: 6 (Terry Mann, Justin Smith, Jimmy Clarida, Tim Collier, 8.2) Certify' Voluntary Contiguous Annexation Request and Schedule Public Mr. Lewis presented this matter to Council. He explained that! Mr. Charlie Irick has submitted a petition for voluntary contiguous annexation of +3.67 acres located at 181 W. Love Mill Raod (PID#5751). He advised that the property is currently zoned B-3 and that the applicant is seeking rezoning of the property from B-31 to R6- MF. Hee explained that the Planning Board reviewed the application and recommended approval of the annexation and rezoning. Mr. Lewis advised that his recommendation is that City Council instruct the City Clerk and City Attorney to certify the annexation petition and schedule a Public Hearing on April 13. 2021 at 6:30 or soon thereafter. Mayor Pro Tem Smith thanked her for her willingness to serve. Council Member Williamson concurred with Mayor Pro Tem Smith and inquired abouta delapidated property on Madison Street (Mr. Lewis responded). Council Member Collier inquired about the Nolan Park parking lot and when it might be repaired (Mr. Currie responded). Mayor Mann thanked staff for coordinating with the City's legislative delegation for the special meeting held on March 19, 2021. Mayor Mann also discussed with Council the Eastern NC Recovery & Resiliency Alliance 2021 Resilience Policy Priorities, in particular Section 51 int the draft document, so that the Council is aware of the movement. 10.1) Manager's Report 10) REPORTS Mr. Currie updated Council int thet following areas: Governor Cooper's Executive Order No. 204, Further Easing of Restrictions on Businesses and Gatherings.
