Mayor Vehaun called the meeting to order at! 5:00 pm. A. Approval of the Agenda (0:16) which passed unanimously, 5-0. B. Consent Agenda (0:28) Council Member Ervin made a motion to approve the agenda. Vice Mayor McAllister seconded the motion, 1. Approval of the August 16, 2022, Regular Meeting Minutes 2. Approval of a contract between the Town of Woodfin and Curbside Management, Inc. 3. Reimbursement Resolution - Issuance of General Obligation (GO) Bonds 4. Budget Amendment -V Walmart Community Foundation Grant 5. Resolution setting a public hearing for a voluntary annexation of 15 acres located off Olivette Road and 5 acres located off Sweet Fern Parkway in the Olivette community 6. Amendment to FY2023 Schedule of Fees the motion, which passed unanimously 5-0. Vice Mayor McAllister made a motion to approve the consent agenda. Council Member Edgerton seconded . D. Presentations & Reports/17:30) 1. Auditor's Report 2. Town Manager's Report E. New Business (56:54): 1. Public Hearing - Right-of-way closure petition for a portion of Wellington Drive (Presenter: Tuch) Council Member Edgerton made a motion to continue the hearing to the next meeting, next month, with the hope being that an amended petition could bes submitted in that time showing a uniform closure alongt the entirety of that section of right-of-way. Vice Mayor McAllister seconded the motion, which passed unanimously,5-0. 2. Appointment to the Parks and Greenways Advisory Committee (Presenter: Isenhower) Council Member Ervin made a motion to appoint Miranda Wyatt tot the Parks and Greenways Advisory Committee for a 3-yeart term. Council Member Lunsford seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 5-0. 3. Community Partner Grant Awards (Presenter: Powers) Council Member Lunsford made a motion to postpone this agenda item until next month and have a little more discussion with everybody about maybe combining the two (Grant Awards & Christmas Program). Vice Mayor McAllister seconded ther motion, which passed unanimously, 5-0. 4. Introduction to required Public Safety Ordinance Amendments (Presenter: Dykes) Council Member Ervin made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting and goi into executive session. Council Mayor VeHaun adjourned the regular meeting at 6:40 pm and thei Board entered into closed: session. F. Executive Session (1:40:02) -1 The Town Council may adjourn to private chambers to discuss legal, personnel, contractual or similar matters protected byt the NCGS $ 143-318.11. 1. Adjournment Mayor VeHaun called the regular meeting back to order at 7:45 pm. 2IPage Council Member Ervin made ar motion to give Town Manager Tuch a5 5% raise based upon the approved Personnel Policy as she completed her 6-month probationary period. Council Member Thornton seconded the Council Member Ervin made a motion to adjourn ther meeting.
