Mayor McAllister called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. A. Approval of the Agenda (0:32) Council Member Thornton made a motion to approve. the agenda. Council Member Kahn seconded the motion which passed unanimously, 5-0. B. Consent Agenda (0:54) 1. Approval oft the December 19, 2023, regular and closed session meeting minutes. 2. Approval of the Tax Collection Report fort the period ending November 30, 2023. 3. Approval of amendment to 2024 Town Council Meeting Schedule. North Carolina Department of Transportation (l-26, Exit 23). 4. Approval ofr revised Landscape Maintenance Agreement between the Town of Woodfin and the Vice Mayor Ervin made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda. There was no public comment. Citizens may address the Board concerning various topics after being recognized by the mayor and are limited to. 3 (three) minutes speaking time. D. Council Member Edgerton made a motion to approve the Council Code of Conduct and Ethics including changes in section 2.7 and 4.2, with at final copy being posted ont the website. Vice Mayor Ervin seconded 2. Authorization for Mayor McAllister to pursue discussions and inquiries as to the future of Old Craggy Bridge with Woodfin Town Manager, members oft the Buncombe County Commission, and the NC the motion which passed unanimously,5-0. Dept ofTransportation- -I Mayor McAllister & Council member Edgerton. Council Member Kahn made a motion to give Mayor McAllister authorization to pursue discussions and inquiries as to the future of Old Craggy Bridge with Woodfin Town Manager, members oft the Buncombe County Commission, and the NCI Dept of Transportation. Council Member Thornton seconded the motion Council Member Edgerton made a motion to adjourn into closed session consistent with North Carolina General Statute $143-318.11 (a)(3): To consult with an attorney employed or retained. by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body and (a)(5) to establish, or to instruct the public body'ss staff or negotiating agents concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf oft the public body in negotiating (i) the price and other material terms ofa a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property by purchase, option, exchange, or lease. Vice Mayor Ervin seconded the motion, F.
