Summer Youth Program Inspires High school and college students in Salisbury have an opportunity to work in different City departments through the Summer Youth Employment program. The program lasts four weeks. The students are able to work with a variety of departments including, but not limited to, Transit, Public Works, Finance, Bralen Mitchell, a rising junior at East Rowan High School, is one of the students int the Summer Youth Employment program. During his first weeki in the program, Mitchel was able to work witht the Fire Department. "I was able tos see an actual fire and how the fire department works to put them out,"s said Mitchell. "It was pretty fun and a real adrenaline rush."
