AN ORDINANCE FOR ESTABLISHING AUXILIARY LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT FOR THE TOWN OF VANCEBORO, NORTH CAROLINA, CRAVEN COUNTY (#2013-0204) WHEREAS, the Town of Vanceboro Board of Aldermen pursuant to Section 282(a) and (b) of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Town of Vanceboro will establish an auxiliary NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN OF VANCEBORO BOARD OF ALDERMEN established within the Town of Vanceboro Police Department, as a division. thereof, an auxiliary law enforcement division. The auxiliary law enforcement division shall be a volunteer organization, whose members shall serve without compensation, composed of as many members as may from time to time be determined by the Chief of Police and approved by the Town of Vanceboro Board of Section 1. All potential auxiliary law enforcement personnel must meet minimum requirements as set forth by the North Carolina Department of. Justice, Law Enforcement Training and Standards, Criminal Justice Education and Training. The Town of Vanceboro shall incur cost associated with the law enforcement division made up of volunteer members. Aldermen: psychological evaluation and drug screening. Section 2. All auxiliary law enforcement personnel shall commit to twelve (12) months of service Section 3. All auxiliary law enforcement personnel shall commit to twenty-four (24) hours per Section 4. All auxiliary law enforcement personnel shall provide their own law enforcement Section 5. The Town of Vanceboro will provide all auxiliary law enforcement personnel an Section 6.
