Police Report. Police Report presented by ChiefJenkins. Attended training this month fori investigating drug overdose cases. National Night Out Plate Fundraiser raised $1,710.00. Information on the Opiod crisis was discussed and handed out at the monthly Community Watch meeting. Sgt. Calloway attended training on Human Trafficking. I attended an Opiod subcommittee meeting, and a school crisis meeting this month. The winner for Do The. Right Thingi in April was Maelynn Stocks. All of our town officers had our yearly legal update class fori in-service training and aj policy review. X. Mayor Report. Community Watch meetings are held on the 2nd Monday night of the month here at the Town Hall at' 7:00 p.m. We will be putting a drop box in place for unwanted prescriptions. Vanceboro Strawberry Festival went well this year, special thanks to Keith Cannon for his hard work and dedication. Thanks to our. Public Works department for getting the Town clean. Thank you to the City of New Bern for sweeping our streets for us. Grass season is upon us, bes sure to keep your yard mowed on a regular basis. Former. Alderman and Planning Board Member Tony Chesson passed away last month. Our condolences to his family, he willl be missed. Employee John Raines celebrated al birthday this month. We will be closed on May 28+ in observance of Memorial Day. Water tank on Farm Life Avenue was inspected this month. Election day is tomorrow, come out and vote. Budget meeting will bel held on May 14+. Employee Michael Bryant was married this month, congratulations. to him and his wife. The library windows should be replaced this week. Alderman Smith did some painting at the Town Hall, thank you. New business, Snowie Time opened here in' Town. Sydney Braxton will be attending the Governor's School for six weeks over the summer. Iwill be aj judge for the VFW scholarship this year. Sidewalk has been patched. Window was replaced at the Water Plant. Tree trimming is still being done around town. WCMS baseball championship game will be tomorrow. National Teacher Appreciation Weeki is XI. Vacant Seat on Planning and Zoning Board. A nomination was made for Robert Ipock to this week.
