Background  The Town adopted the revised water system specifications and guidance document in] March 2022 andi is ini need of support inj plan review. to ensure compliance with thei intent with those specifications.  Scope of Work  Hazen and Sawyer, or a designated subconsultant under the supervision ofHazen and approved by the Town, will review plans and specifications submitted by thej permit applicant for compliance with the adopted water system specifications and will provide comment back to the' Town in regards to this Hazen and Sawyer, or a designated subconsultant under thes supervision of Hazen and approved by the Town, willj provide periodic inspection services as required during construction to ensure the contractor is providing thel level of service required by the local specifications. Contractor shall notify the Town oft the need for inspection and the Town will request inspection services with at least 96 hour notification by the Town. This service will not include third-party concrete or geotechnical inspection services, nor bacteriological sampling oft the completed water line. Hazen reserves the right to subcontract thei inspection services as required to meet the needs of the" Town of Stokesdale. Hazen will complete the review and inspection services with the standard of care expected for this service, however, our review will not release the certifying engineer, architect, and/or developer from their liability to meet any applicable standards as required by the Town of Stokesdale specifications,  review. Taylor Engineering and Consulting is located in Guilford County, has experience in the water line utility design and construction industry andi isa a valuable partner  tol Hazen and Sawyer on similar contracts. Wej propose billing at the categorical rates shown below. The total fee will not exceed" TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000.00) without additional authorization, generally split between $10,000 to inspection services and $10,0001 to plan review but funds may be split as necessary to meet the needs oft the" Town during this period.
