MINUTES TOWN OF STOKESDALE 8325 ANGEL PARDUE ROAD STOKESDALE, NC27357 May 6, 2021 AT 7:00 PM  SPECIAL CALLED TOWN COUNCIL MEETING  Members present were: Mayor John Flynt, Mayor Pro-Tem Thearon Hooks, Council Members: Jim Landreth, Derek Foy, Jim Rigsbee, Interim Town Clerk Dale Martin and Finance  and Budget Officer Kim Thacker. 1. CallTo Order.  Mayor John Flynt called the meeting to order.  2. Citizen Comments None presented.  3. Continued Discussion on 2021-2022 Annual Budget.  Kim Thacker, Budget and Finance Officer reported that she has made the adjustments as discussed at the last budget work session. She further explained that ini the General Fund, it was balanced by pulling salaries from reserve funds and will include payments to the State Mayor Pro Tem Hooks noted the Town's contributions to the Retirement System at ai rate of 11.35%. Councilman Rigsbee stated that this is correct, the employees contribution is 6% and that Mrs. Hunsucker is willing toj join. He stated that we did receive an email from the Retirement System today and that 50% ofemployees must join. He added that he is still waiting Mrs. Thacker then explained the changes to the Water Fund and noted that the water tap fee increases are ai result ofincreases the Town will pay to Yates Construction. The Council held al brief discussion on thei increases in tap and meter fees. It was noted that  Retirement system and for health insurance.  fori insurance quotes.  construction has not slowed down a bit.  Mayor Flynt announced the budget public hearing will be held. June 10th.  4. Citizen Comments None presented.  41    5. Adjournment.  Councilman Foy made a Motion to adjourn the meeting.
