The daily operations of the police department are running smoothly. I do not have al lot to report as far as operations. Officers have been patrolling the village streets, and conducting business and residence checks. We are gearing up for our busy time ofy year. I have started scheduling reserve officers for the holidays and weekend. As always I want to thank our officers for aj job well done. Each officer contributes to the operation of the department. I could not do this job without them. Ihave submitted to the Village Manager a proposal to purchase new body worn cameras. Our current cameras are eight (8) years old, andld do not expect them tol last much longer. Unfortunately we were not awarded a grant for these much needed equipment. Ihave also sent an update on the repairs that have been recently  completed on the 2019 Ford Expedition Police Vehicle.  On 11/3/2023 al larceny was reported to Sugar Mountain Police Department from a home in the Grouse Moor area. Officer Brown has conducted some interviews, and we are following up on leads. At this time no arrests have been made. Iwould like to ask everyone to please call the police department if you see any suspicious activity, sO we can investigate that  activity, before too much time has passed.  Citations charges seventeen (17): three (3) drive while license revoked, three (3) operate vehicle with no insurance, three (3) speeding, four (4) expired registration, one (1) no operator license, one (1)trespassing, one (1) fictitious registration plate, one (1) possess open container  ofa alcohol in passenger area.  Arrest two (2): one (1) warrant for arrest violation of domestic violence protection  order, one (1) criminal summons for cyberstalking.
