No major issues to report. During weather events, we issued several parking citations for vehicles left in no parking areas. No roadways were completely blocked. During inclement weather, Bill Daniels andl were in direct contact with NC DOT Supervisors. I want to thank Attorney Eggers for getting a more direct line of contact established for the Village to communicate with NC DOT. Ihope this will help with  coordination in the future.  Officers have begun working on 2024 mandated in-service online through the North Carolina Justice Academy when time allows. Every officer must complete the twenty-four (24) hours yearly to comply with certification standards. Officer Osborne has been released from field training and is working the day shift. Officer Osborne is a great asset to the department. Officer Buchanan will be working the 10 am to 10 pm shift to assist both the day and night shifts. lam still working weekends and holidays, taking off during the weekdays. Officer Osborne will attend RADAR re-certification this month. Officer Hicks will attend RADAR Operator in the coming months. I have been enrolled in leadership training for the past several months. Up to this point, I have completed around 160 hours of the 320-hour course. This leadership training consists of eight online courses. Ih hope to use this valuable  training to lead our department. This equipment is a great upgrade from our previous equipment. The body-worn cameras are being used in accordance with our Body Worn Camera Policy. I want to thank the Council again for approving the purchase of this much-needed equipment. l'am working on an updated inventory of department equipment, and working to finish our procedure manual. I have attached our activity log. As always Iwant to thank the entire department for their hard work, and striving  to keep the Village a safe place to live, and visit.  Patrol Mileage: 5,127  Citation charges: thirteen (13). 4 No Operator License, 5 speeding, 1 open container alcohol, 1 careless and reckless driving, 1 drive while  license revoked, 1 drug violation.  Arrest: Impersonation law enforcement officer seven (7) total charges, driving while impaired one (1), cyberstalking one (1), FTA one (1).
