Brown Mayor Pro Tem Council Members David Ammann Wade Wittman Dick Casey  THE VILLAGE OF SUGAR MOUNTAIN 251 Dick Trundy Lane Sugar Mountain, NC 28604  May 12, 2023  We have been super busy over the last several weeks finishing up the remodel at the maintenance facility and keeping up with more heavy wind events. Over the course oft the spring, it seems that the wind was never going to slow down. Numerous limbs and some trees have been knocked down, giving us a nonstop chore of brush pickup on the mountain. In this process when the rain follows, culverts and ditches become clogged and that has been a point of emphasis for us in keeping those clean. The spring paving has been completed on the mountain, with several areas on Grouse Moor being dressed up. have measured out more areas on the mountain to be paved this fall, such as Rock Spring Circle and areas on Highland Circle. The paving of the parking lot at the maintenance facility has also been completed. lam in constant contact with Carolina Water regarding the road cuts they have on the mountain, and I expect according to them that they will be paved over next week. The sewer line repair and water line replacement between the tennis courts has been completed and is  being landscaped as Iwrite this.  The golf course is in full swing, it is in great condition and judging by the volume of play, our customers are enjoying it. lam SO very proud of our crew that has worked so hard to give our golf course the appearance that it has. Each and every one takes such immense pride in their jobs, and it really does show in the product that we present to the public. New sand has been placed in most of the bunkers and the fairways have been topdressed to repair the winter's damage. have been informed that once again we will be hosting the Western Carolinas Superintendents Association fall meeting and golf outing on the course in September.lam very appreciative that they continue to want to have events at our facility.
