Brown Mayor Pro Tem Council Members David Ammann Wade Wittman Dick Casey THE VILLAGE OF SUGAR MOUNTAIN 251 Dick Trundy Lane Sugar Mountain, NC 28604 November 22, 2023 Int the time since the last meeting, our department has accomplished quite a few tasks. New yellow lines were able to be painted on Grouse Moor Drive, Sugar Mountain Drive, and Cross Park. The paving crew from Tri County Paving arrived and completed the Town Hall project, and we also were able to get the parking space lines painted. The fall leaf season lasted much longer than anticipated and the lack of rainfall assisted us in keeping all the ditch lines and culverts clean. The rainfall on 11/22 totaled 1.23" and was the most single day rainfall we have received since. August gth. We are very thankful for this, to help reduce the fire dangeri in the area. We are: in the process ofi installing Christmas lighting throughout the Village. This will be completed prior to or just a day or SO after the Council meeting. We have also been prepping salt spreaders and snowplows for the season. Currently all of our plow trucks are ready to be used. The salt was delivered on 11/22, and the remainder oft the screenings and chat will arrive beginning Monday the 27th. Our guys are in the process of constructing a 10x40 foot addition onto the back oft the golfmaintenance building. This will provide more inside dry storage for equipment and allow us to: move the reel grinders away from the storage area and create a new tool Eggers Construction has finished the digging across the golfcourse and only final cleanup remains from this project. Ihave begun the tee construction and drainage projects that were approved at the last meeting. A new tee has been built at #12, the white tee at #11 has been regarded and leveled and the same will be completed on the 10th tee. Culverts will be replaced on #12 fairway, the 5th fairway and the 15th as weather allows. Ihope that each and every one of you has a Happy Thanksgiving and a great and parts room. time spent with family and friends. Respectfully submitted, Bill Daniels, Village Maintenance Director
