Minutes January 2, 2024 Spring Hope Board of Commissioners Meeting Ai regular meeting oft the Town of Spring Hope Board of Commissioners was held at7 7p p.m. at the Members present: Mayor William Pritchard, Commissioners Brenda Lucas, Eric Gainey, Brent Also, present was Town Manager. Andrew Delonno, Town Clerk Michele Collins, Town Attorney Mark Edwards, and Code Enforcement Officer Shwan Lucas. Mayor Pritchard called the meeting to order and led thej pledge of allegiance. Commissioner Gainey seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Spring Hope Town Halli in the Commissioners Room. Cone, Tommy Toney and Drew Griffin. Commissioner Cone made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 2023 meeting; Mr. Delonno told thel board that hel had1 been contact by NCDOT about thej pedestrian bridge on Railroad St. He reminded thel board that the subject ofc ownership had been discussed in thej past and that thet town! had no documentation which would prove ownership. Hesaid that DOT wanted tol havea publicl hearing on thel bridge as they had deemed: it unsafe. He also said that the town would dof further Commissioner Cone made ai motion tol have the town set aj public hearing for March 4th, Commissioner Mr. Delonno asked thel board tol look at the response from Wooten fort the RFQ for the WWTPand Tower Grants. He said that they were the only firm that responded to thej project andt that NCDEQ was Commissioner Cone made al motion to approve thel RFQ; Commissioner Gainey seconded and the motion Commissioner Gainey made al motion to send thet update oft the Sidewalk Ordinance to the Downtown Development Board fort their consideration before it comes back to thel BOC,Commisioner: Cone research and get the town attorney involved. He said he thoughti it could bes something that the Downtown Development Board could spearhead to show why Commissioner Cone: asked ift there was any update on the Ash Street properties that were purchased by Tom White.
