Salisbury, North Carolina  March 5, 2024  SPECIAL MEETING  PRESENT: Mayor Karen Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Tamara Sheffield and Council  Members Harry McLaughlin, David Post and Anthony Smith. Deputy City Manager Mr. Richard White, City Attorney J. Graham Corriher and City  Clerk Connie B. Snyder  ABSENT: City Manager Jim Greene  Salisbury City Council met in Council Chambers in City Hall located at 217 South Main Street. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Alexander at 5:00 p.m.  ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA  Thereupon, Councilmember Smith made a motion to adopt the Agenda for the Special Meeting as presented. Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and  Councilmembers McLaughlin, Post and Smith voted AYE. (5-0)  CLOSEDS SESSION  Thereupon, Councilmember Post made a motion to go into Closed Session concerning an economic development matter as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)4) and the acquisition of property as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(5). Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and Councilmembers McLaughlin, Post and Smith voted AYE.  (5-0)  Salisbury City Council  March 5, 2024- - Special  Page 1    RETURN TO OPEN SESSION  Council returned to open session. Mayor Alexander noted no action was taken in  closed session. ADJOURNMENT  Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Councilmember Post. Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and Councilmembers McLaughlin, Post and Smith  voted AYE.
