Salisbury, North Carolina  May 14, 2024  SPECIAL MEETING  PRESENT: Mayor Karen Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Tamara Sheffield, Council  Members Harry McLaughlin, David Post and Anthony Smith, City Manager. Jim Greene, Jr., City Attorney J. Graham Corriher.  ABSENT: City Clerk Connie Snyder  Salisbury City Council met in Council Chambers in City Hall located at 217 South Main Street. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Alexander at 5:00 p.m.  ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA  Thereupon, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield made a motion to adopt the Agenda as presented. Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and Councilmembers  McLaughlin, Post and Smith voted AYE. (5-0)  CLOSED SESSION  Thereupon, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield made a motion to go into Closed Session concerning an economic development matter as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(4) and to consult with an attorney as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11()3). Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and Councilmembers McLaughlin, Post and Smith voted AYE.  (5-0)  Salisbury City Council  May 14, 2024 - Special  Page 1    RETURNTO OPEN SESSION  Council returned to open session. Mayor Alexander noted no action was taken in  closed session. ADJOURNMENT  Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Councilmember David Post. Mayor Alexander, Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield and Councilmembers McLaughlin, Post and Smith  voted AYE.
