Sanford Parks Advisory Committee Sanford City Hall West End Conference Room 225 El Weatherspoon St, Sanford NC March 18, 2024 4:00pm Meeting Minutes  The following people were present  AI Roethlisberger Bob Bridwell Chad Spivey Crystal Williams Derek Borrell Mark Lyczkowski Non-Voting Attendees Nick Fortune Kelli Ladaute Walter Ferguson Call to order Approval of Minutes Lyczkowski. New Business  Meeting was called to order at 4:00pm by Chad Spivey.  Motion made by Crystal Williams to approve minutes from previous meeting, seconded by Mark  Nick Fortune gave the committee an update on the PARTF Grant. There was another public input meeting Saturday at' Walter McNeil Jr Park. There was about 12 people in attendance. Just waiting on a few council approvals on upcoming agendas. The application due first part of The updated parks master plan was recently presented at the council workshop. Committee members that attended spoke and Nick thought it went well. The master plan will go before Event season has begun for Parks. Egg-a-Palooza this scheduled for this Saturday at Kiwanis Family Park. This event is aj joint effort with Lee County Parks and Recreation. Nick stated that the weather is being watched closely and a rain date is scheduled for the following day on Welcome Walter Ferguson to the advisory committee. Nick stated that the committee was  May.  council tomorrow for a vote.  Sunday.  looking forward to having him be apart of the board.  Old Business None.    Next Meeting Comments None. Adjournment  Next meeting will be April 15th at 4:00 pm in the West End Conference Room at City Hall.  Motion was made to adjourn at 4:33 pm, unanimously approved by the committee.
