ADOPT AGENDA: Mayor Keith Warren asked for a motion to adopt the March 19, 2024 Rebecca Johnson made a motion, and Melissa Curtis seconded, to adopt the March 19, 2024 Agenda. Agenda. All were in favor. APPROVE FEBRUARY 20, 2024 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES: Mayor Keith Warren asked for a motion to approve the February 20, 2024 regular meeting minutes. Melissa Curtis made a motion, and Joe Wesson seconded, to approve February 20, 2024 regular meeting minutes. All were in favor. RECOGNITIONS: MARCH RECYCLE REWARDS WINNER: Mayor Keith Warren announced Steve Bynum as the March Recycle Rewards Winner. A credit of forty dollars ($40.00) will be added to the current sanitation bill. No Council action was required. FINANCIAL MATTERS: AMERICAN LEGION HUDSON POST 392 DONATION REQUEST: Mayor Keith Warren stated that that the American Legion Hudson Post 392 requested a donation in the amount oftwo hundred dollars ($200.00). Melissa Curtis made a motion, and Rebecca Johnson seconded, to give a donation in the amount oft two hundred dollars ($200.00) to the American Legion Hudson Post 392. All were in favor. UPDATES: MARCH CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORT: Town Code Enforcement Officer Curt Willis stated that there are twenty-three (23) code enforcement cases that are open. No Council action was required. MCAG charges an all-inclusive contingent fee of25% of any recoveries received. The Town receives 75% of any recoveries received. lawsuit filed against Visa and Mastercard. Taylor, Attorney at Law Resolution Approving Efforts to Recover Visa and Mastercard Fees WHEREAS, the Town of Sawmills may be eligible to: recover excess fees charged WHEREAS, the Town of Sawmills participated as a' Visa and Mastercard merchant WHEREAS, the Town of Sawmills has determined that iti is in the best interest of the Town to enter into an engagement with Managed Care Advisory Group (MCAG) for the purpose of recovering funds made available from a class action lawsuit filed against by Visa and Mastercard between 2004 and 2019; and from 2009 to 2019; and Visa and Mastercard.
