Old Business: Town Hall Mold Issue: Mayor Hooper stated that the basement cleanout has been started. Collins - drainage issue update: Mayor Hooper stated that the Collins have been given the approval to start the drainage repairs. New Business: Mayor Update: Mayor Hooper updated the Board on Community Clean-up Day; stated that the Town Hall has termites; discussed the newly awarded CDBG Sewer line Grant; stated that the Corridor K drawings have been received; and stated that hei is researching a sidewalk Grant. Finance Update: The Finance Director presented the 4/30/2021 Budget VS Actual. She stated that the County collections The Town has received the 2021 Board of Elections agreement and it states that the Town will be responsible for actual cost. Teresa Garland told the Mayor that it should cost no more than $4,500. The Finance Director commended Wastewater ORC, Lamar Williams for helping save the Town an additional $60,000 with the suggested new contracted services for testing and back-up. are at 97% at the end of April 2021. Johnson made a motion to hire Chris Williams at $101 hour for thei full-time Maintenance 1 position on a 90-day probation period after passing the pre-employment drug screening. This position was Brian Johnson made a motion to hire Marlon Adams part-time for 20 hours a week without benefits at $10 hour with a 90-day probation period after passing the pre-employment drug screening.
