Town of Robbinsville Regular Meeting Minutes March 4, 2020 Town Hall A Regular Town of Robbinsville Meeting was called to order by Mayor Steve Hooper at 1:00 PM at the Town Hall on March 4, 2020. Patrick O'Dell led the meeting in prayer. Mayor Hooper led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. Council present: Brian. Motion passed. Old Business: Old Town Hall easement: owner. Attorney Davis stated that the tenant will need to get the easement agreement with the property Fort Hill - road to water tank: Brian Johnson made a motion to table this until the next meeting, Debbie Beasley seconded, motion passed. New Business: Public Comment: Brian Johnson made a motion to open public comment at 1:15 PM, Debbie Beasley seconded, motion passed. There was no public comment. Page 1 of3 Finance Update: The Finance Director presented the 01/31/20 Budget VS Actual and the Interest Income Summary to the Board. She stated that the year to date interest income has increased by $5,397 since this date in 2018 bys switching to the Capital Management account. Pure Water Technology: Brian. Johnson made a motion to not renew the Pure Water Technology contract in December, which will save the Town $1,255 a year. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Motion passed. Attorney Davis advised the Finance Director to send a certified letter to Pure Water Technology to have a record. Brian. Johnson made a motion to cancel the Council's life and accident insurance with Nationwide, which Nationwide: will: save the Town $1,805 a year. Debbie Beasley seconded. Motion passed. Graham County Festivals, Inc.: Debbie Beasley made a motion to send the amount budgeted for 2020 Festivals and Music on the Square ($9,000) to the Graham County Festivals. Brian. Johnson seconded. Motion passed. Teresa Garland Flooding issue: Brian Johnson made a motion to table this issue until the maintenance supervisor can look into this flooding issue. Debbie Beasley seconded. Motion passed. NC Waterworks Operators Training: Beasley seconded. Motion passed. New Maintenance truck: truck for the maintenance department. Brian Johnson made a motion to send Eddie Sharpe and Farron Jenkins to the March 2020 NC Waterworks Operators Spring School, which will be $330 per person plus travel expenses. Debbie Brian. Johnson stated that the Board should bring back three quotes for the purchase of a new or used Town Survey: Brian. Johnson made a motion to amend the agenda to add the Eller Branch issue to the Agenda. Debbie Beasley seconded. Motion passed.
