Old Business: Town Hall Mold Issue: Mayor Hooper stated that the two dehumidifiers in the basement have still not been set-up to drain. Brian. Johnson made a motion for Tim Creasman to dot the sidewalk and drain for the Town Hall basement drainage issue, $2,750. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Collins - drainage issue - update: Steve Hooper requested that this be removed from the Agenda. Graham County Historic Association - Right of Way-tabled. Golf Cart Tags: Debbie Beasley made a motion to proceed with the process of allowing golf carts within the Town limits. Shaun Adams seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Hometown Tax- - water pressure issue: Mayor Hooper stated that this issue has been resolved. Road Improvement Quotes: Brian Johnson made a motion for Aldridge Brothers, Inc. to do the Ghormley Street, Ward Street and Godfrey Street road projects, $53,050. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Pagelof3 Sale ofl Town Equipment Bids: Brian Johnson made a motion to accept the following highest bids. All remaining items will remain open for sealed bids until August 31, 2021 at 4:30 PM. Petition for Annexation - Hackney Petroleum: The Finance Director presented the Certificate of Sufficiency for Voluntary Annexation by Petition for Hackney Petroleum, Inc. to the Board. New Business: Mayor Update: 2021 Election location: Mayor Hooper updated the Board on a couple of maintenance issues. Shaun Adams made a motion to hold the 2021 Municipal Election at: 196 Knight Street for the November 2, 2021 election. Debbie Beasley: seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Powell Fund - Budget Amendment: The Finance Director said that the Town's Auditor questioned if Bud Carpenter's salary is allowed as a Powell Fund expenditure. The Finance Director researched the question and found that Bud Carpenter's salary to pick up regular trash is not allowed under Powell Fund expenditures. Budget Amendment #1, $11,300 will reclass Bud Carpenter's salary expense to the General Fund Streets which is funded by the Page2of3 taxes from the local taxpayers. Brian.
