Town of Robbinsville June 1, 2022 Town Hall  Public Hearing & Board Meeting Minutes  A Regular Town of Robbinsville Board Meeting was called to order by Mayor Shaun Adams at 1:00 PM: at  the Town Hall on. June 1, 2022.  Council present: Brian. Johnson, Debbie Beasley, Kenneth Hyde  Approval of Agenda:  Brian. Johnson made a motion to approve the Agenda with the following changes: to remove Old Business #6-Old Town Hall Building Lease, to add New Business #9 - Town Charter, #10 - Fishing Derby Funds allocation to Old Mother Church and the Cancer Society and #11 - RTA. Debbie Beasley seconded the  motion. Vote unanimous. Approval of meeting minutes:  Debbie Beasley made a motion to approve the May 4, 2022 Regular Board meeting minutes. Kenneth Hyde seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Brian Johnson made a motion to approve the May 18, 2022 Special Board meeting minutes. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.  Public Comment:  The Board did not open public comment, there was no public comment. Brian. Johnson made a motion to  close public comment. Kenneth Hyde seconded the motion. Vote unanimous  Public Hearing - Proposed Budget:  Brian Johnson made a motion to open the Proposed Budget Public Hearing at 1:16 PM. Kenneth Hyde seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. No public comment. Brian. Johnson made a motion to close the  Public Hearing at 1:18 PM. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Vote unanimous.  Debbie Beasley made a motion to approve the $250 Revved Up Business membership. Kenneth Hyde  Brian Johnson made a motion to approve the McGill Agreement for Engineering Services for the second phase of the CDBG Project #20-1-4002 and allow the Mayor to sign the agreement. Debbie Beasley  New Business: Mayor Update: Finance Update:  The Mayor stated that the Town has received the first alcohol tax payment of $969.76.  The Finance Director stated that the current tax collection rate fori the Town of Robbinsville is 97% at the end of May 2022. The Budget VS Actual for period ending May 24, 2022 was presented to the Board. Brian Johnson made a motion to approve one additional speed hump for Atoah Street and three speed humps for Circle Street with signage. Circle Street speed humps will be installed after the residents on that street have been notified. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.  Speed humps - Atoah Street & Circle Street:  LCWP Scada! System - Budget Amendment #16:  Brian. Johnson made a motion to approve Budget Amendment #161 for the Long Creek' Water Plant Scada  system-$48,320. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.  Compensatory Time Policy:  Tabled.  Graham Star Ad- -ILove Graham County: seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.  Kenneth Hyde made ar motion to approve the: 1/8 page ILove Graham County adi for $150. Debbie Beasley  Town Charter:  Brian. Johnson made ar motion to certify the Town Charter copy as at true copy and authorize Kenneth Hyde  tos sign. Debbie Beasley seconded the motion. Vote unanimous  Fishing Derby Allocation of Funds:  Debbie Beasley made a motion to allocate the unused Fishing Derby budgeted funds to Cancer Society- $750and Old Mother Church- $750. Brian. Johnson seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.  Closed Session: Vote unanimous.  Brian. Johnson made a motion to go into closed session at 2:00 PM. Kenneth Hyde seconded the motion. Johnson made a motion to approve a $1 an hour payi increase for Mason Adams, Eddie Sharpe and Eddie Brooms effective July 1, 2022 before the 3% cost of livingi increase. Johnson made amotion to approveas1.45anh hour payi increase for Eddie Colvin, Alvin' Wachacha, Chris Williams, Chadd Carpenter, Baylee Hall, and Shari Birchfield effective July 1, 2022 before the 3% cost ofl livingi increase.
