Town of Norlina Regular board meeting Minutes. July 12, 2021 Norlina Town Hall- 139 Hyco St.  Board members present- Mayor Wayne Aycock, Commissioner Tyrone Simes, Commissioner Claude  O'Hagan, Commissioner Roger. Jackson, and Commissioner Charles Smiley.  Call toorder  Mayor Aycock called the regular town board meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The pledge of allegiance was  led by Police Chief Keishawn Mayes, followed by a moment ofs silence.  Citizen Comments None. Minutes  Am motion was made by Commissioner O'Hagan to accept the regular meeting minutes for 6/7/21 as  presented, seconded by Commissioner Smiley; motion carried unanimously.  Administrative Reports None. Departmental Reports  Police- Commissioner Smiley - nothing at this time. Finance- Commissioner Carrington- - nothing att this time.  Technology & Enhancement- Commissioner, Jackson gave an update on the webpage. Park & Public Works Commissioner O'Hagan stated he is trying to get int touch with someone from CSX to determine if the town will be given the museum before fixing it up. Zoning- Commissioner Simes requested a speed limit reduction to 35 on Glen Raven. Working on  moving the white line back to AB Hair.  Old Business  Chief Mayes suggested to the board that they reach out to the Director to seek plans for the 31st Cooler  Event at the Norlina School. New Business.  Commissioner O'Hagan made a motion to remove the Crown' Vic off surplus for transport of money to Commissioner Carrington suggested that a strategic plan be made for Norlina moving forward. A motion was made by Commissioner O'Hagan to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner. Smiley; ally were  be delivered to the bank, seconded by Commissioner Simes; all were in favor.
