MOUNT AIRY, NORTH CAROLINA CLOSED SESSION November 4, 2021  MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Ron Niland, Commissioners Jon Cawley, Tom Koch, Marie  Wood, Steve Yokeley and Joe Zalescik  CLOSED: SESSION: City Manager Position: were 21 applications received. their top 5 recommendations.  a) Pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(6) Personnel  The Board discussed personnel issue in regards of the hiring of a new Gity Manager. There Darren Lewis recommended for the Board to review all 21 applications and inform him of  Mayor Niland recommended that Darren Lewis to be a part oft this entire process.  Consensus: Board is to review all applications and send their top 5 recommendations to  Darren Lewis. OPEN SESSION: unanimously.  Commissioner Koch made a motion to enter back into open session and it was approved  These minutes are sealed until the transaction consummates or terminates. Approved and adopted this the 3rd day of February, 2022.  1
