Call to Order & Determination of Quorum AGENDA ITEM Mayor Pollino called thei meeting to order at 5:30pm and determined a quorum was present. Present: Mayor Pollino, Mayor Pro Tem Vandenberg, Councilman Lein, Councilman Wortman Present Virtually via Webex: Councilman Marcolese Staff] Present: Christina Amos, Austin W. Yow, Hunter Nestor VOTE: The motion passed unanimously, 3-0. Councilman Marcolese was not present at thet time oft this vote. MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Vandenberg moved to reconvene at 5:35pm. MOTION: Councilman Wortman moved to allow Councilmembers toj participate remotely. 3. Adoption of the Agenda MOTION: Councilman Wortman moved to adopt the agenda as presented. 4. Update on the New Town/Marvin Road Roundabout (NCDOT Project U-6088) (See attached presentation, whichi is includedas areference in these minutes). Sean) Epperson and] Brett Canipe ofNCDOT: spoke on the delay to thel New Town/Marvin Road roundabout. He opened thej presentation by discussing thei initial design ofthe proposed 4- leg roundabout, funding sources, funding challenges from damages from seasonal storms and the COVID-19 health crisis, According tol Mr. Canipe, one oft the affected property owners, whoj previously planned to donate thei necessary land fort thei fourth leg oft ther roundabout, has now chosen not to donate the land. He stated that whilet this did not contribute tot the delay, it presents He then spoke on the future project milestones, including right of way certification, utility certification, LET date, and the construction date. Hel highlighted the weather challenges ofc constructing thei roundabout: in December 2022.
