Greenwood, Teresa McCoy, and Tom Richardson René Shuford, GLAD Project Manager. 1.0 Call to Order and Welcome Mayor Powers called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. and welcomed everyone in attendance. 2.0 Approval of October 12, 2021 Agenda Amotion was made by Alderman Blevins to add two (2) items to the the agenda. Motion carried with a 5-0 favor. 3.0 Review Minutes for Approval Mayor Powers opened the floor for a motion to approve the September 2021 Regular Meeting Minutes or amend if necessary. A motion was made by Alderman Richardson to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried with a 5-0 favor. 4.0 Finance Report- None 5.0 LPCCA - They are offering more classes, such as, pottery, weaving, and knitting. More information is available on their website. 6.0 G.L.A.D. - An update was given by Project Manager, René Shuford. The next GLAD meeting will be held October 28 by way of ZOOM. Dues of $20 per year are due at that time. Colette Campbell has resigned her position as Treasurer, Summer Davis is stepping down as Secretary, and Dawn Richardson iss stepping down as Vice-President. These three positions will be filled by election Box Car Mural - Sherry Powers has asked the Fire Department to repair the car so that the painting can begin. We are waiting for this to happen. We need to devise a method to attach them on bridge by early letters on the signs. spring. 7.0 LVFD-None 8.0 Public Comments = None 9.0 Other Business Anita Greenwood, Chairperson for the Playground Committee gave an update on the items they are proposing for the park. They are awaiting quotes for this Clerk Roten asked about sending out a second request to those who have not paid their 2020 tax bills. A letter requesting payment for all outstanding taxes through Clerk Roten asked about replacing the current printer for the office. Ithas stopped printing certain colors and sometimes these colors are needed. It was approved Taking part in a Trunk or Treat was discussed. Itwas decided that the barn would not be open and decorated for Halloween due to Covid. However, even though entry would not be allowed, ifGLADI wanted to provide hot chocolate and hot apple cider it would be acceptable. The problem of speeding through town was discussed. Several options were discussed including a four way stop at the Teaberry Bridge area. More stop signs The situation with the sewer contamination was up for discussion. Agrab sample was taken by Maintenance Supervisor Larry Blevins at the manhole used by LPCCA and Molley Chomper. There was no activity at the school's brick building upon checking for something that might have contributed to this sample. The sample was taken on 9-21-2021 and sent out to be analyzed. The results showed BOD elevated to 2272.70. The normal range for BOD is 200-300. It was decided al letter would be sent to Molley Chomper advising them of these results. and a 20-mph town wide speed limit were discussed. 11.
