They had al leaky toilet and it has been repaired. The Board decided to grant an adjustment. An adjustment can be granted once per year. We will take an average of the last three months and submit the bill to Country House. Karen thanked the Board for their help on this matter. 9.0 Other Business Rachael Bronson did a presentation on the Accelerated Plan. Starting in November 2020 she covered these areas: Introduction, Goals of the Project, and Community Analysis. A move was made by Alderman Cordell to accept the deliverable plan and adopt the plan as a guideline for the Planning Guide for Mayor Powers gave the second reading of the Sewer Use Ordinance. A motion was made by Alderman Cordell to adopt the Sewer Use Ordinance. Motion carried Alderman Greenwood brought up the need for a franchise ordinance for the Town of Lansing. It was suggested that Clerk Roten check with other small towns like Mayor Powers addressed the issue of moving the power pole back to its original location. Alderman Greenwood ist the Chairperson; members of the committee are Kathy Elliott, Tina Greer, Janis Roten, and Ashley Schneggenburger. They are looking at maybe two systems, Mayor Powers met with County Commissioners to ask for their help for Maintenance Supervisor Larry Blevins doing park maintenance. The quote for 26 weeks of park assistance was $21,000. The Commissioners said funds was not available at this time, however, they gave the town $12,000 to buy an industrial typer mower. Mayor Powers also brought up the fact that Larry Blevins used his own truck for town hauling/running. He would like to provide gas for this usage for Larry's vehicle. It was decided that Larry could use the credit card for two tanks of gas Alderman Cordell asked what the status was for electric car charging systems. Itwas brought to the Board's attention the many compliments received about the cleanliness of the restrooms. The restrooms are kept spotless and people notice. A big thank you to the employees, Shelby Dowell and Brenda Reeves. It was suggested that the park needs to be checked for bee's nest. Around the decks someone noticed a nest and someone could be stung. Larry Blevins will Mayor Powers talked about the visit from the Appalachian Regional Commission to the town. The Federal Co-Chair, Gayle C. Manchin, and her staff along with other officials came on July 8 and was very impressed with the park, all those attending and the refreshments we served.
